“An unlimited area of Joshua Bushes, distinctive to the Mojave Desert area, unfolds underneath the arc of the Milky Method band at first of the season,” Mittler describes. “Taking pictures rapidly as a multi-image panorama within the 20 minutes between moonset and early twilight, the most important problem was discovering the ‘proper’ Joshua tree to shoot, and navigating utilizing solely the moonlight.”
